Please Forgive Me

Mea culpa, mea culpa...

I know I've been remiss about posting here. No excuses. Let's just get the ball rolling again.

I had an excellent question in "Only 2 Days Left" about how to market article directories. Check it out. I hope Dianne will give us her URLs. I'm also giving away free article submission directories, which I plan to update regularly.

If you haven't gotten your copy, sign up here:

And if you haven't bought 7 Secrets yet... now's the time, folks! Check out the testimonials at the site. And read Tim Linden's review (Linden Software, StartXchange Clixx Network, ProBlogNetwork owner). Folks are loving it!

Why? Because it's a simple system. You will be able to organize those random thoughts and work them into something focused and well-presented. That will help you to have your articles accepted at first glance!

And articles are definitely the BEST way to advertise. Once they're distributed, rather than having your article at one e-zine, you may have 10 or 20 sites pick it up. Seriously, it's a great way to get your name out there and with that "author" tag comes esteem. It works like magic. :-) People think you're an expert in your field, begin to trust you, and voila! Sales.

You won't get this training anywhere else, that's certain. You point to someone who's had 10 books published and is telling you how to write articles, and I'll be surprised. Books aren't articles, but I've done a rousing round of those, too. If you're leery, check out my resume at WriteOn! my writing site. You'll see that I've had LOTS of experience, including 5+ years as a writing instructor. If I can't tell you how to do it, nobody can.

So, let's have your questions... Your links... Your interest! If we can start something going, it will snowball and we'll have a regular discussion blog. I'd like that a lot.

Be well!

Hi Pat,

Thanks so much for answering my question about article directory marketing. I have been using classified ads, blogging and search engine submission. I'm not comfortable with pay per click as I have no idea how to write an ad that will convert. It doesn't make cents to me to spend major mula to find out what I already know, NOTHING about copy writing.

I've only just started my article directories and so far, while I have received a lot of articles from Article Marketer, I would like to receive articles with more technical meat to them and less fluf.

My article directories are:

http://www.aidsarticles.info
http://www.articlesonbusiness.info
http://www.articlesoncancer.info
http://www.articlesonhealth.info
http://www.healthandwellnessarticles.info

I'd love to find some medical journalists who would convert medical jargon to plain english. I want some articles that cover the latest research findings and other serious stuff for my directories.

What exactly are you looking for in a distribution system? My directories don't forward on to other directories if that is what you mean, but you can register for notification of articles in a specific catagory.

Will you make reccommendations on what kind of distribution system you like to see? I'm not a programmer but I can get one to tweak the system.

Thanks again Pat and your TOILERS from 7 Secrets, realy does make writing EASIER.

Hi Dianne,

Thanks for posting the URLs for your directories. I know some folks that might be interested in posting articles and I'll be glad to pass the information along. Just having it here on the blog is a great idea!

Have you been to iSnare (http://isnare.com) yet to check out the competition? They have a system whereby you pay them to distribute articles. It's like $1 for each article you have distributed, or if you write a whole lot, there's a $50/mo. option and then, you can have them distribute unlimited articles each month. The system is quite handy for busy people, and why I use them.

However, lots of people pick up my articles from perusing iSnare, too. Their index is searchable, so you can choose what suits your focus.

But here's an idea that may take a little time. Look up blogs re: your topics at FeedBurner (http://feedburner.com). Then, send an email to those bloggers who write about aids, business, cancer, heath, or health and wellness, and tell them about your directories?

Check out Ross Yingling's blog about fibromyalgia. He's got some interesting stuff and he's a good writer. You may be interested in courting him, for instance. His blog is http://FibroPainIsReal.blogspot.com

You can also contact Teri Flatley at Boom This! She was a medical writer in one of her lives. Maybe she'd like to trade some articles with you. She's at http://boomthis.com an ezine geared toward... what else? Baby boomers! She was my editor for a while when I was starting out, too.

Maybe I can come up with more ideas. Let me think on this a while. :-)

And thanks for reading. Hang in there. This blog is about to get MUCH better!

Pat
